This resource book incorporates the perspectives of women leaders who have achieved success as educators and administrators. Although designed to be used by persons who are chairs of special education departments or of special education units within school districts, all educators can find useful information in the book, to assist them in accomplishing their daily professional responsibilities. The chapter I wrote, “Keys to Successful Collaboration,” provides readers with illustrations of collaboration challenges, as well as strategies to overcome those challenges.
was launched at the Teacher Education Division (TED) conference in Portland, ME in November, 2005. TED is a division of the Council for Exceptional Children.
